Most of us require a visitor to complete a registration page prior to viewing the free products. How effective are these at capturing your visitor’s information?
You would be amazed at how many people enter fake data for those supplemental fields such as company size, position, address, etc. Many people are not willing to go beyond giving you a name and email address.
For certain types of products, visitors are not willing to register and will go somewhere else instead.

Conclusion
Visitors to your website are busy people. They want to stay anonymous. They don’t want phone calls or postal mail when they look at your demo or free products.
Since a visitor is usually willing to leave an email address, you can use autoresponders to send several messages over a certain length of time.
