Case Study: One Travel Agent’s Email Campaigns

This week, AWeber posted another case study. This time it the email campaigns of a travel agent.
Although most of us use Orbitz rather than a travel agent to book many of our trips, when it comes to destination traveling, it is still best to use a travel agent. There are agents that specialize in Disney, cruises, and international travel. These agents know which hotels, attractions, and tours to take. They can also help you with special concerns such as traveling with young children.
These specialized travel agents can use email campaigns to stay in touch with their clients and prospects. Gerry Kerkhof of Spanish-Fiestas.com specializes in trips to Spain.
Gerry uses a monthly newsletter to keep in touch with his subscribers. The newsletter discusses upcoming events, destination reviews and other cultural issues.
To increase your subscribers, AWeber recommends:
- Using an inline form on the home page of your website instead of a link to a subscription page.
- Custom thank you page which tells the subscribers what is going to happen.
- Use Autoresponders as well as monthly newsletters to stay in touch with clients more frequently.
